Geotag Photos Online provides a free, browser-based digital tool that allows users to view, edit, add, or remove Geographical Information (GPS coordinates) and EXIF metadata from supported image files. By utilizing client-side processing technologies, all modifications occur directly on your device rather than on our servers.

2. Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on Geotag Photos Online's website for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

  • modify or copy the materials;
  • use the materials for any commercial purpose, or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial);
  • attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on Geotag Photos Online's website;
  • remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials; or
  • transfer the materials to another person or "mirror" the materials on any other server.

This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by Geotag Photos Online at any time.

3. User Responsibilities and Acceptable Use

As a user of our Service, you agree to use the tool responsibly and in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations. Specifically, you agree that you will not:

  • Use the tool to geotag photos with malicious intent, such as spoofing locations to commit fraud, evade law enforcement, or harass other individuals.
  • Upload or process illegal, explicit, or highly sensitive imagery that violates the law. (While we do not see your images, using our tool to facilitate illegal activities is strictly prohibited).
  • Attempt to overload, exploit, or disrupt the Service's infrastructure or security mechanisms.

4. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding the images provided by users), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Geotag Photos Online and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United States and foreign countries. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of Geotag Photos Online.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or course of performance.

Geotag Photos Online its subsidiaries, affiliates, and its licensors do not warrant that a) the Service will function uninterrupted, secure or available at any particular time or location; b) any errors or defects will be corrected; c) the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components; or d) the results of using the Service will meet your requirements. Always keep a backup of your original photos. We are not responsible for any file corruption or data loss that may occur during the geotagging process.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Geotag Photos Online, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (iii) any content obtained from the Service; and (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage, and even if a remedy set forth herein is found to have failed of its essential purpose.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
